Introducing... Woodfin James Harvard

Friday afternoon we got the word that my baby sister Lindsey's water had broken and they were headed to the hospital. SO EXCITED!! Robbie, Jake & I headed to Atlanta on Saturday. Little Woodfin James Harvard "Woody" entered the world on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10:36 AM. He weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 21" inches long. Woody wanted to make sure that Jake didn't get all of the drama birth stories, so he gave everyone a pretty good scare with his fast breathing and had to spend most of Saturday in the NICU. But he was all better by Saturday evening and was up in the room with Lindsey & Brooks. We got to spend the day with them Sunday and he was perfectly precious. I am so in love with this little boy. I'm so happy for Lindsey & Brooks. They are going to make wonderful parents and Woody is a lucky little boy to have them. Congratulations Lindsey & Brooks and welcome to the world Woody!

Our first time getting to see him

We found the free "I'm the proud...." buttons, so of course Robbie had to grab a proud aunt & proud uncle buttons.

They actually had all kinds of free stuff (which I'm sure just shows up on the bill:)

Hospital Door Hanger (made by a proud big sister)

Brooks stayed down in the NICU with Woody while the rest of us kept Lindsey company up in her room.

Finally he got to come up to the room and be with both his mommy & daddy

Look at those sweet little rolls

Sweet sleeping baby

I got a picture with his eyes open. I don't know if he is about to smile or about to kill me for blinding him with my flash.

He has dark brown hair

My dad got stuck with Jake duty for most of the day

For most of the day, Jake was not interested

Maybe interested for a few seconds
But not as interesting as the iPad
My new nephew and me
All of sudden as we were getting ready to leave, Jake decided he was very interested in the baby. He was standing and wanted me to just hand the baby to him. Lindsey & Brooks eyes were as big as coke bottles. Of course I made him sit down & I "helped" hold Woody the whole time. I don't trust Jake with a rock, much less a 1 day old baby! But Jake did good and was very happy with his new little cousin.
I love the look of fear in Woody's face

New cousins!

Proud new daddy

Jake kept wanting us to pick him up so he could pet the baby
