5 has been a great age! We'll celebrate with a party with his friends later in January, but we still wanted to have a family party with him on his actual birthday. We let Jake pick anywhere he wanted to for lunch. He picked..........McDonald's. Because he wanted a particular toy that is a part of their happy meal. But since he was the birthday boy, we obliged. We all (both sets of grandparents, Aunt Andrea, Uncle Johnathan, cousin Jackson & our family) went to McDonald's for Jake's birthday lunch. We then came back to our house for cake & presents.

He blew out the candles before I could take a picture
Happy Birthday Jake!
We love you so very much. You are the one who made us parents. We had you all to ourselves for 5 special years. Instead of getting jealous when sister came along, you've loved her and welcomed her into our family. You are an amazing son & brother. You make us laugh constantly, sometimes without even meaning to. You love sharing an interest of sports & boy stuff with dad, but you are a mama's boy. I still kiss you every night after you've gone to sleep and I will always thank God for giving me the most precious gift I could ever ask for.
We love you Jake!!
